The Austrian Australian Club Gold Coast was formed in 1985 with Hermie Raup the founding President. Initially meetings were held at Hermie’s Farm Hero’s Haven in Tallebudgera Valley.
In 1999 The Gold Coast City Council has allocated funds and passed plans for the setting up of the Austrian Australian Club Gold Coast Curling Club Inc.
Years of hard work followed. On November 16. 2002, a large crowd of members, friends,
sponsors, and dignitaries witnessed the opening of the Clubhouse by the Austrian Ambassador Dr. Otmar Koler.
The AAA was represented at the opening by Jenny and Hermann Wandl / Sydney.
Congratulations on the achievements, we wish the Club all the best for the future.
