Past Events

The Austrian National was well attended again this year at the Westpac Stadium - What a great venue and the food was fantastic. We would like to thank Mr Diessl for his extremely generous contribution to the evening, a great time was had by all.

The Children’s Christmas Party was in late November, with a great turn out from the young, to parents and grand parents alike. Harriett the clown entertained the children and then Krampus sorted out the little ones, while St Nicholas gave out the gifts - All greatly received.

There was a smaller than usual turnout for the Adults Xmas party at the Pines.

Future Events

Picnic to be held on Sunday 27th Jan, 2008, 1pm start at Battle Hill Reserve, Pauatahanui - Last year was a great success and recommended by all those who attended. Bring your togs.

How to get there—Private vehicle

Turn off SH 58 at Pauatahanui onto the Paekakariki Hill Road and drive 6km to Battle Hill Farm Forest Park. Alternatively, turn off SH1 at Plimmerton onto Grays Rd, then turn left at the end onto Paekakariki Hill Rd.

The Kapiti end of Paekakariki Hill Road beyond Battle Hill is not suitable for heavy vehicles.

The all popular wine trail, is to be held on Saturday 29th March 2008 - RSVP to Herbert Burian on 04-4785391 if you are keen to join us.

In November, Otto met the new Austrian Ambassador, Hannes Porias, based in Australia, who was in New Zealand to present his credentials to the New Zealand Government.

We wish Otto a speedy recovery after his recent hip operation.

Greetings,   Your Committee
